Located just 2-miles from the is the FAA, or Federal Aviation Administration. Since 1926 the United States Government has been regulating air transportation and traffic, setting standards and rules for the aviation industry to follow, allowing for both innovation and safety to flourish. On April 1, 1967 the FAA became the governing body over aviation standards and procedures.
Today, little has changed with the general goals of the FAA, which remain to provide the public with the safest, most effective aerospace system in the world. Innovation, however, changes almost on a daily basis. Sleeker styles and fuel economy engines are designed and tested on a daily basis.
