The "Wonder of Wonders" Display
A new permanent art exhibit was installed in early 2013 at Dulles, "Wonder of Wonders" by sculptor Yuriko Yamaguchi, who earned an MFA from the University of Maryland. This exhibition playfully and thoughtfully explores life's journeys through abstract bronze pieces mounted on the wall. It's located in the walkway that leads to Concourse A, close to the A-Gates AeroTrain Station.Complimentary Airport Shuttle

When did Dulles first open?
Named for Secretary of State John Foster Dulles, who served under President Eisenhower, the airport began to serve the public in 1962. It was designed by the Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen, who is also famous for the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. Located in Chantilly, VA, Dulles Airport is 26 miles from downtown Washington, DC.
